Planning Grant 2008
On review of the first submission of the Glue Planning Grant in 2008, the importance of the problem, the innovative integrative approach and the strength of the investigators in the consortium were appreciated by all the reviewers. However, the reviewers were divided on whether “the whole would be greater than the sum of the parts”. The reviewer’s comments can be downloaded here.
We have taken this critique seriously and, have invested more than requested in the original planning grant in supporting five face to face meetings of PENTACON investigators at Penn. Summaries of our discussions at these meetings are posted here.
Reflective of the continued enthusiasm for this project, we have retained all but two of our original list of investigators and have expanded the group to include younger collaborators who further broaden the diversity of the group. Amongst the revisions, we now propose two clinical “bookends” to our translational studies.
